Responsibilities of Other Board Members
Vice President:
- Preside over all board and club meetings in absence of the President
- Oversee the activity of committees
- Report on committees’ progress to board of
- Plan service projects
- Plan membership education and recruitment (In some clubs, this is the responsibility of the membership chair.)
- Assist president in his/her responsibilities
- Keep record of service hours completed by club members (In some clubs, this the responsibility of the Club Secretary)
Secretary
- Maintaining club records such as club membership, and dues payment
- Taking minutes of board and club meetings
- Keeping a record of meeting attendance
- Completing and submitting monthly reports to district
- Submitting newly elected officer information to district administrator
- Planning induction and installation banquets
Treasurer
- Collect and record member dues
- Send dues to District and International
- Complete and submit a monthly report to District
- Prepare budget and ensure club adheres to budget
- Keep accurate records of all transactions
- Disburse funds, pay bills, and make reimbursements accordingly with approval by the board
- Deposit all club funds in a school or bank account
- Present a club financial statement at every board meetings
